TREATMENT SCHEME - FRUFF TREATMENT - SEEDS
The most dangerous diseases are:
- RAPANUS (Venturia inaequalis) - is the disease on the aerial parts of the tree, but the worst effects are on the leaves and fruit. The attack on the leaves starts on the back of the leaves in the form of gray spots - the olive trees grow in size, after which the affected tissue turns brown. On the fruit, gray olive spots appear, leading to cracks that favor the development of other diseases and pests. Affected fruits become misshapen, cracked and flavorless.
- FUFFLE (Podosphaera leucotricha) - is the disease that attacks buds, leaves, inflorescences, shoots and fruit. It appears as a white, floury paste when the apple tree starts to vegetate - at bud burst. The leaves stop opening and become curved. The attacked fruit dries and falls off.
Preventive treatments play an important role in keeping these two diseases under control and are applied according to the scheme, by vegetative stage.
The most dangerous pests are: Worm spp., Caterpillars, Aphids, Spider mites, Apple maggot, Woolly apple maggot.
They colonize on branches, leaves, penetrate into flowers, then into fruits where they destroy seeds and pulp and eventually lead to considerable reduction in production, endangering also the health of the trees.
To control both diseases and pests, we recommend using the treatment packages in the scheme, by vegetative stage. For rich harvests, we also recommend the use of fertilizers, applied in vegetation phases.
These are commercial packages. Products can be applied together or separately. The package is to be used on trees when they are in the relevant vegetative phenophase.
