PhYSICAL CHEMICAL PROPERTIES: ORIUS 2 WS is a triazole fungicide, conditioned as a water-dispersible powder for the wet treatment of seeds. It is a pink powder with a characteristic odor. The product is neither explosive nor corrosive. It is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
MOD OF ACTION: ORIUS 2 WS has systemic action against pathogens localized on or within the cereal seed. After treatment, the product penetrates into the seed and then into the plant, preventing fungal mycelial growth by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis. It has a long-lasting protective effect on seeds and plants, while at the same time leading to more vigorous growth in the early stages of development.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: ORIUS 2 WS is recommended for use on the following crops and application rates:
*Wheat: Common mildew (Tilettia spp.), Fusarium wilt (Fusarium spp.): 0.15 kg/ 100 kg seed/ 100 kg seed treatment seed;
*Orchard: Flying cutworm (Ustilago nuda), Leaf spot (Pyrenophora graminea), Reticulate leaf spot (Pyrenophora teres), Fusarium head blight (Fusarium spp.): 0.15 kg/ 100 kg seed/ 100 kg seed treatment seed;
*Dry: Leaf and stem blight (Urocystis occulta), Snow mold (Monographella nivalis): 0,15 kg/ 100 kg seed treatment seed;
* Oats, triticale: Fusarium head blight (Fusarium spp.): 0,15 kg/ 100 kg seed treatment.
When conditioned as a dispersible powder, it is used in a slurry. Place the required volume of water in a vessel, add the appropriate amount of product and allow to disperse completely in the water, then use the resulting slurry for treatment. The volume of water depends on the technical characteristics of the treating machine and the quality of the seed to be treated, but care should be taken not to add too much water so as not to trigger premature sprouting. It is important that the correct dosage of the product is used in the treatment process and that it is distributed as evenly as possible over all the seeds.
