RADIAL EXTRA is a herbicide containing 60 g/ L nicosulfuron, as an oily suspension OD, for dilution with water, applied foliar, for the control of crawling empyrean and annual monocotyledonous weeds. The product is intended for use with self-propelled field sprayers or tractors.
Action on weeds: RADIAL EXTRA is a selective, systemic herbicide, predominantly taken up by the leaves and transported rapidly into the plant, causing inhibition of growth and development. Weed growth is inhibited shortly after treatment, followed by a gradual discoloration of the plants. Weeds die completely 20-25 days after treatment. Hot and humid weather accelerates the action of the product, while cool and dry weather may delay it.
Dose of 0.5 - 0.7 L/ha: for control of annual monocotyledonous weeds and creeping downy crabgrass.
Use: Corn: Term of application: Apply postemergence at the 2-8 leaf stage of corn (BBCH12-18).
Maximum number of treatments during the growing season: 1.
Recommended amount of water: 200-300 L/ha.
Recommended spraying: medium sprinkles.
Please note: The dosage of the product should be adjusted according to the stage of weed development and the amount of weeds in the field. A lower dose should be applied on weeds that are less developed, in the early stages of development and when the infestation is smaller, and a higher dose should be applied when weeds are advanced in development and in case of heavy infestation.
Cautionary measures and good agricultural practice recommendations for use: Resistance management strategy: The product contains an active substance belonging to the group of acetolactosidase (ALS) inhibitor herbicides. Consecutive use of herbicides with the same mechanism of action may result in selection for resistant weeds. To minimize the emergence and development of weed resistance, herbicides in the ALS group must be used in accordance with good agricultural practices: follow the instructions on the label of the plant protection product - use the product at the recommended rate, in the time frame that provides the best weed control; adjust cultivation procedures to field conditions, in particular weed type and intensity; use different weed control methods, including crop rotation, etc; use rotation of herbicides with different mechanisms of action; use mixtures of ALS group herbicides with herbicides with a different mode of action; use herbicides acting on more than one vital weed process in rotation and/or in a mixture; use a herbicide with a particular mechanism of action only once during the growing season of the crop; inform the licensee of unsatisfactory weed control; for more information contact a consultant or the licensee. under conditions unfavorable to the growth and development of corn, transient leaf deformation, discoloration and inhibition of plant growth may occur after use of this product. These symptoms do not affect the production phase of the plants. Because of the possible occurrence of phytotoxicity symptoms on some corn varieties (especially new varieties) prior to application of the product to these varieties, it is recommended that a test treatment be made on each crop to check for signs of plant damage or that an advis advis adviser or representative of the consent holder be contacted.
