COMOD SUPERSTAR 50 SG is a contact sulfonylurea herbicide, which can also be absorbed through the roots. It is intended for use alone or in mixtures for the control of certain dicotyledonous weeds in autumn and spring cereal crops. It is non-flammable, non-explosive, non-oxidizing.
Fall wheat, Fall and spring barley- Weeds-dicotiledonous weeds 30 g/ha (3 leaves of crop, until ligule of flag leaf becomes visible)
Highly susceptible weeds: Rococoine(Stellaria media), field rosemary (Anthemis arvensis), dog parsley (Aethusa cynapium), gooseberry(Arabidopsis thaliana), cornel (Cerastium spp.), common groundsel (Senecio vulgaris)
Susceptible weeds: poppy (Papaver rhoeas), cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), sweet chamomile (Matricaria inodora), forget-me-not (Myosotis arvensis), white meadow-rue (Silene alba), sting (Thlaspi arvense), lizard (Veronica spp.)
Moderately susceptible weeds: Elder (Lamium purpureum), Common vetch (Descurainia sophia), Traistaciobanus (Capsella bursa-pastoris), Wild mustard (Sinapis arvensis), Dead nettle (Lamium amplexicaule), Crowfoot (Ranunculus sardous), three-leaved spurge (Viola tricolor)
COMOD SUPERSTAR 50 SG is applied in spring, post-emergent from the three-leaf stage until the flag leaf ligule becomes visible. Best results are obtained with early postemergence application when weeds are small and actively growing. Before use, make sure herbicide equipment is cleaned of traces of previously used herbicides
and is calibrated to apply the recommended spray volume and pressure.
Apply 30 g/ha in 200-400 litres of water at medium spray. To ensure even coverage of weed foliage, avoid machine vibration during herbicide application. After use, herbicide equipment should be thoroughly cleaned.
The product is compatible with most plant protection products. A compatibility test is recommended prior to use.
CROPS OF CHANGE - If crops herbicided with COMOD SUPERSTAR 50 SG fail for any reason within
3 months of herbicide application, only hairy cereals are allowed to be sown. After 6 months after herbicide application, field beans and oilseed rape may be sown.
DECONTAMINATION OF CROPS
Immediately after use, all spraying equipment and contaminated clothing should be thoroughly washed and cleaned to prevent any traces of COMOD SUPERSTAR 50 SG remaining in the sprayer and damaging crops subsequently treated with this equipment. Contaminated liquid resulting from cleaning must be disposed of safely in accordance with local regulations. Thoroughly clean and decontaminate the herbicide machine using a mixture of sodium and potassium hypochlorite or ammonia solution, then rinse with water.
WARNINGS AND RESTRICTIONS
Do not apply in windy conditions to avoid drift of spray solution to adjacent crops. Avoid overlap between two successive passes. Do not treat intercropped cereal crops or crops to be intercropped with other crops.
Do not tillage after application. Do not use the product on sandy, very light, poorly structured, compacted or flooded soils.
If a prolonged period of drought follows application, efficacy may be affected. Under certain climatic conditions there may be some temporary discolouration of the crop leaves, which may be aggravated by heavy rain shortly after application. These symptoms are transient and do not affect yield. Do not apply to crops under stress of any kind, including those affected by disease, pests, frost or nutritional deficiencies. Avoid application under prolonged or severe frost conditions until
the crop recovers.
