MOD OF ACTION
Proquinazid is a new active substance of the quinazolin group acting specifically against mealy blotch in vines and cereals. Proquinazid inhibits appressorium formation and spore germination and also induces the plant's defense reaction. This action is long-lasting and residual and the crop is protected for a period of 14-21 days (treatment persistence is 6-8 weeks). It does not induce cross-resistance to fungicides based on triazoles, morpholines, strobilurins or quinoxyfen.
COMPATIBILITY
Talendo® is compatible with most pesticides and foliar fertilizers. Before using a mixture, consult the compatibility tables and test the crop.
PREVENTION OF RESISTANCE
With repeated use of fungicides with the same mode of action for several years on the same fields, it is possible that naturally occurring, less susceptible pathogen biotypes may survive, multiply and dominate.
A pathogen is considered resistant to a fungicide if it survives after a treatment correctly applied at the recommended dose and time under normal climatic conditions. The development of resistance can be avoided or delayed by alternating or mixing products with different modes of action.
