Physico-chemical properties: Pyrus 400 SC is a high quality fungicide in the form of a suspension containing 400 g/ L pyrimethanil. It is a fine, mobile, homogeneous, creamy white suspension. It is non-flammable and non-volatile.
Mode of Action: Pyrus 400 SC is a fungicide specifically for the control of Ventura diseases of trees and Botrytis Cinerea rot of grapevines and tomatoes. It is used for both preventive and curative treatment. Inhibits elongation, mycelial growth and sporulation. It effectively controls rot without affecting the grapes and wine quality.
Moment of application: preventive treatments should be applied for best efficacy, but can sometimes be applied curatively. Pyrus 400 SC can be applied in a zone-specific vine control program against botrytis at one of the following vine stages: -late flowering; -cluster compaction; -early bud burst. Good coverage of the bunches with the spray solution is recommended. In trees it can be applied from the early leaf development to the end of flowering. On tomatoes, apply preflowering up to the limit given by the break interval.
Spectrum of activity and mode of use: Pyrus 400 SC is used on the following crops and at the following rates:
*grapevine - gray rot (Botrytis cinerea) - 0.15%;
*par - the common poppy (Venturia pirina) - 0.15%;
*tomato-gray rot(Botrytis cinerea) - 0,15% (1,5 L/ ha).
Break to harvest: 21 days on vines, 56 days on trees and 3 days on tomatoes. Mixing with strongly alkaline products or those containing aluminum is not recommended.
